Vikram to enter Television to host Game Show

After Surya its Vikram who is making his entry in to TV screen. The latest buzz is that a leading TV channel has approached Chiyaan Vikram to host a game show.

The trend of roping in popular film actors to host shows in TV has now spread to Tamil which had been a widely done thing in Hindi. Almost every top actor in Bollywood have now a taste f hosting Tv shows. Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan and now even Aamir Khan is doing a social based show on the lines of Oprah Winfrey.

The bug has now caught up with the Tamil Tv shows too. After Surya being roped in for dong Kodeeswaran, Tv market are eying top actors in Tamil and are luring with big money to get them for a grand entry in to Tamil. Earlier Sarathkumar had also done Kodeeswaran in Tamil for Sun Tv.

A rival channel is said to have started a gem show on the lines of Surya's (KBC) Kodeeswaran in Tamil. The game show is said to be a general knowledge based that will test the intellect of the participants.

A source informs media, “The TV channel has been in touch with Vikram for over a month now. They’re keen to rope in the actor to do the show, as he’s the best choice to compete against Surya in doing something on similar lines. Considering Vijay might not agree and Ajith doesn’t do television shows, they feel that Vikram is the apt choice.”

But it is unsure whether Vikram would take up this opportunity. A spokesperson of Vikram was reported to have said, “He’s keen to explore TV but he has his hands full with film right now. There’s Thaandavam with director Vijay and his Bollywood flick with Bejoy Nambiar. If he commits to the channel, he’ll have to devote a lot of time to it and that might affect his shooting schedules. He’s now trying to figure out if there’s a way it can be worked out.”

Vikram is currently shooting in Mangalore for Director Bejoy Nambiar’s Hindi film David.
