Baahubali is undoubtedly the most prestigious project that has come out of Tollywood in the recent times. Directed by the genius Rajamouli, this film has Prabhas, Tamannah, Rana and Anushka in lead roles. Touted as the biggest motion picture in India, Baahubali has hit the screens today. Let’s see whether it lives up to its hype or not. Story: Shivudu(Prabhas) is brought up by some native villagers. He grows up with special skills which turn out to be a mystery for every one. One fine day, he spots Avantika(Tamanna) and falls in love with her.

As time passes by, he comes to know that she and her group are trying hard to rescue the royal princes Devasena(Anushka) from the evil clutches of Bhalaladeva(Rana). Shivudu decides to help Avanitka and enters the Mahishmati Kingdom.

As soon as he lands there, he comes to know that he has a past associated with both Mahishmati and Bhalaladeva. What is that past ? What does Shivudu have to do with Mahishmati ? Who is Shivudu in real life. To know answers to these questions, you need to watch the film on the big screen.

Plus Pointss: As you start watching Baahubali, one thing that hits you instantly is the scale of this magnum opus. The extravagant sets, spectacular visuals and the sheer magnitude has not been showcased in any Indian film before. One cannot shy away to laud Rajamouli for thinking something this huge and also executing it on such a mammoth scale. The war sequences and the way they have been executed are in true Hollywood style.

Prabhas is terrific in a dual role and is the apt choice as Baahubali. No one except him could have done justice to the role which is larger than life and has many heroic moments. His sheer screen presence and emotional performance will be immensely loved by his fans. As expected, Rana is menacing as the baddie Bhalaladeva. This is a dream role for him and he gives a top notch performance as the bad guy.

It is quite surprising to see the amount of detailing that has gone into every aspect of this film. What catches your attention right away are the terrific visual effects. There are certain scenes in the film which will just leave you spell bound. Tamanna is gorgeous as Avantika and plays her part well.

Ramya Krishna is elegant as Shivagami and brings a lot of depth to the film. Nasser and Satyaraj play their roles perfectly. Second half of the film has a lot of emotions which elevate the film to another level.

Minus Points: The story line of Baahubali is quite routine and predictable. The actual film kick starts only during the second half and ends abruptly which might leave you a bit unhappy. Anushka has nothing much to do in the film as her character will be revealed only during the second part.

Certain war sequences have been dragged out and could have been trimmed to decrease the run time. There is so much hype surrounding the film that certain unwanted songs off tracks the film. The romance between Prabhas and Tamanna also looks exaggerated at times

Technical Aspects: Where do I start from in this section. Baahubali is by far the most technically brilliant film that has come out from Indian cinema. Each and every frame in the film is sheer magic. The sets, VFX work and graphics are just out of this world. One should be really proud to see such grand visuals especially in a Telugu film. Music is decent but the background score could have been better.

Next in line is the art direction. Sabu Cyril has done a marvelous job with the sets. Be it the palace sets, the kingdom surroundings or the warfare equipment, everything looks impressive. Senthil Kumar’s camera work is mind blowing. His awesome visuals are nicely complimented by the stunning VFX. The water fall scenes and some shots during the fight sequence with Kaalakeya have been executed brilliantly.

The way Rajamouli has conceptualized the visuals will be a learning lesson for a generation of aspiring film makers. Even though Rajamouli’s screenplay dips a bit here and there, his larger than life approach is what makes this film such a visual treat.

Verdict:: On the whole, Baahubali is one film which every Indian movie lover can be extremely proud off. Right from the word go, this visual extravaganza treats you to some never before seen elements in Indian films. Prabhas’s stunning avatar as Baahubali, brilliant art work to some eye topping visuals effects, this film has it all. Genius director Rajamouli, should be lauded and supported for his dedication in taking Telugu cinema to the next level. Finally, if you ignore the predictable story line and keep your expectations in check, Baahubali is bound to entertain you big time.

Bottomline: Epic War Episode and VFX unbelievable As this is one movie that is never to be missed in the theatre.. so that’s the advice I could share with you..:) Baahubali “The Beginning” Visually treated me well.. but waiting for a cunning and emotional “Conclusion”.. So Baahubali.. come make all the old Box office records bali..

Bottomline: Visually Stunning! With Baahubali, Rajamouli has not only dreamed big but has also raised the bar of Telugu cinema in terms of film making values. For more than two and half years, he has invested his mind, body and soul into this.

The effort, the hard work, the dedication he has poured into this dream project is evident from the beginning of the movie. The scale, the canvas is huge. His execution is on international standards. He chose a weak folklore story to tell in gigantic manner rich with visuals.

Prabhas in Sivudu’s role wants to climb up the mountain and mammoth waterfall to know what lies behind it. That sequence (Dheevara song) is shot in a visually alluring manner. Great CGI work! Then there are some stunning action episodes that can be compared with best of Hollywood movies.

Two action episodes in particular – hero and heroine escaping as the avalanche zooming in on them, and battle sequence in the end are totally on another level.

Having said this, Baahubali is not epic movie as it has been advertised. Baahubali isn't fool-proof either. In fact, it does have many loopholes. Apart from some first rate action episodes, the movie struggles with underdeveloped characters.

The real story of the movie is kept for second part leaving us to experience an incomplete movie. Uneven pace is another major drawback. There is no emotional quotient in the story unlike all Rajamouli’s movies.

The story is not out of the box. Indeed the story is straight out of the folklore stories that we have heard in our childhood or read in Amar Chitra Katha.

After Sivagami asks his two sons to find out who the thief is, the narration goes down with silly item song but the movie comes back on track towards the end as it reaches the final battle sequence shot on Kalayakey warlord, Prabhas and Rana.

All in all, a film that makes Telugu film industry proud, a film that makes giant leap in commercial movie making despite uneven storytelling and weak climax.

Baahubali is made in two parts and this is only half of the story that we have seen. The story here ends as if it were intermission.

At the end of the movie, you get a feeling that it has everything but something is missing. An unfinished movie experience, you’d feel certainly. Watch it for its visuals, Rajamouli’s technical wizardry only.

The main highlight of "Baahubali - The Beginning" is the performances by lead actors - Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Tamannaah Bhatia and Anushka Shetty.

As per current latest updated information Baahubali Premier Show Benefit Show – First part is good, But Second part is extraordinary. Totally movie is good. In 2nd Part Fight scene is highlight. Its seems like Hollywood range. Very different War.

Analysis: While the world sits up in anticipation of S S Rajamouli’s ambitious, 160 odd crore period — drama, it's got to be said that Baahubali is a film of queer contradictions. Technically, it blasts open the hypotheses of cinema and goes where few have attained earlier. There is enough here that will excite and beatify fans. But there's also a lot in it that exacerbates normal crowd. For a visually game-changing film, Rajamouli opts for a folklore and love story that are way too common and at times, even moth-eaten. There's an overall lack of feelings in Baahubali. With that said, maybe a duology is just too much to ask of “Baahubali”, and hopefully Baahubali – the conclusion will be more superior to the part one.

Bottomline: Movie lovers waited eagerly for Baahubali which got promoted as Indian Avtar. First of the two parts hit today. The film turned out to be big budget venture with huge settings, extravagant war scenes, top visual effects.

Film has all the grandiose but story and screenplay fell flat. Many guessed all the scenes from the beginning. Rajamouli who concentrated more on direction should have given some thought on screenplay.

First quarter drags at snail's pace while pre interval scenes are attractive. Rajamouli relived the war scenes. Prabhas, Rana though paled in dialogue delivery, attracted in other aspects. A visual wonder has been created by Rajamouli.

Bottomline: Baahubali is a predictable, routine commercial film that strikes right chords with the target audience. This film has necessary ingredients to stay afloat at the box office. With no big films to compete with it for few weeks, it should be cake walk for Baahubali at the ticket windows.

This Baahubali is Spicy!

Analysis: First half of Baahubali is decent. Flashback episode which occupies 80% of second half is good. Climax could have been better. The plus points of the film are Prabhas, music and all-round orientation. The director has balanced the entire film between family episodes and action sequences. On the flip side, violence should have been toned down and story should have been fresh. Baahubali is a film that is made to do a commercial hit. Prabhas entertains with Baahubali and director does a decent work. On a whole, Baahubali has all the ingredients of a commercial potboiler.
