Balakrishna’s upcoming film “Legend” under Boyapati Sreenu direction is doing tremendous business as the expectations have reached high after the Vizag schedule.
Balayya’s ‘LEGEND’ film Guntur district distribution rights were sold out for a fantastic price of 3.60 Crore ( With Out Prints & Publicity ). Although , Its not the record price because the record lies with Pawan Kalyan’s film Attarintiki Daredi which was sold for Rs.4 crore. But the fact is despite of Balakrishna’s failures at box-office for last few years, his film managed to get such a fantastic offer.
Radhika Apte and Sonal Chauhan as the female leads while Devi Sri Prasad is composing the tunes.Produced by Anil Sunkara, Ram Achanta and Gopichand Achanta.
Balakrishna's previous films didn't have any pre release buzz and most of his recent movies failed to do good business too. Everyone has written off the superstar, who once delivered back to back industry hits with Samara Simha Reddy and Narasimha Naidu. Despite having a loyal fan base Balakrishna's films suffered bad openings in the recent times.
Same is not the case with his upcoming film Legend directed by Boyapati Srinu. This film is riding on high expectations. Legend is getting extraordinary offers from all the areas and buyers are shelling out big bucks to get the distribution rights of this film. Why did Balakrishna's films post Simha didn't generate such hype?
It was Balakrishna's blunder to do films with outdated veteran directors and flop directors. Those films didn't look like scoring success at any point of time. Hence fans and trade didn't show interest in those films. As a result Balakrishna had to suffer a streak of disasters. With star director like Boyapati Srinu at work, Balakrishna's Legend proves that the star is still hot in trade. Hope Balakrishna realizes this and continues to work with in form directors or contemporary hot shot filmmakers.
We all know that Nandamuri Balakrishna will drive specially custom designed vehicles in his latest film.A Harley Davidson motorbike worth Rs.20 lakh has been specially designed for actor Balakrishna for his upcoming Telugu political drama tentatively titled "Legend". He (Balakrishna) also chose the colour of the bike as yellow for personal reasons," a source from the film's unit said.Balayya will also drive in a specially rigged up open top sports car of Jaguar make, it is said.
Yellow is the color of both the vehicles and we all know why.'Yellow is color of austerity and also well being and also TDP ' said a sources close to Balayya. The actor is contesting for assembly polls in 2014 on TDP ticket .
Directed by Boyapati Srinu, Legend will also feature Radhika Apte and Sonal Chauhan and is currently shot at Vishakhapatnam and set for release during Sankranti next year and run as a campaign film for Balayya in May 2014.
Cutting down muscles for a role on silver screen is very much done by young heroes, but imagine how come a hero who crossed 50 years of age does such things. Here comes Nandamuri Nataratna, proving again that he will go to any extent to make his on-screen roles exciting.
'Legend' happens to be the latest movie of Nandamuri Balakrishna who took a long break in delivering the much needed entertainment for his hungry fans. Director Boyapti Sreenu who has earlier made 'Simha' with this powerful hero is helming the project. Interesting thing is that Balayya is donning two powerful roles in the movie. One of his roles required a new get-up including a specially designed hair-wig and a slender body language. Unit members revealed that Balayya lost around eight kilograms of weight for this role. They say that fans will not be able to control their thrill after looking Balayya's new look.
Boyapati Seenu has quickly wrapped up an interesting schedule that was being shot in Nanakramguda from a couple of weeks. All the star cast are now heading to Vizag for a full and final 45 days long schedule, after which only song shoot will be pending. With all these news, Nandamuri fans could make sure that they will be witnessing another powerful blockbuster in the coming days.
Though he has the potential to break box office records with his presence, Nandamuri Balakrishna has not been able to get good success in the last few films. Added to that, he has been facing problems with his current film in terms of finding a suitable heroine. But here is some good news for him and his fans.
It is heard that director Boyapati Srinu was working a lot on getting a good title for the film. The likes of ‘Ruler’ ‘Jayasimha’ and others were discussed but now it is heard that the title has been finalized and the film will be named as ‘Legend’. Both the film team and the other members have agreed this is the right title.
Currently the shooting is going on and fight sequences are being shot. It is always a tough thing to fix a title which can delight the fans but ‘Legend’ has gone well with the Nandamuri fans. Now that one headache is gone the time has come for Boyapati to lock a right heroine and the ‘Legend’ will zoom ahead.
Nandamuri Balakrishna is likely to contest from Gannavaram Assembly constituency in the 2014 general elections, which marks his entry into electoral politics.
TDP leadership is already on the move to clear way for the smooth entry of its star campaigner. Gannavaram sitting MLA Dasari Balavardhan Rao (TDP) is all set join the governing body of Krishna District Cooperative Milk Diary (Vijaya Diary) which keeps him away from this Assembly segment in the next elections.
Gannavaram is always a stronghold of Telugu Desam Party. Dasari Balavardhan Rao defeated Congress rival MV Rao in 2009 polls with nearly 10 percent majority. Congress is lacking a formidable leader in this constituency after the defeat in last general elections. As a result, winning here is going to be a cake way for Balakrishna.
On the other hand, Naidu is planning to target the caste votes in Coastal districts by using Balayya's craze. So, Nata Simha's battle in Gannavaram is almost confirmed.
